
Andrea Johnson is an award-winning photographer and video director/producer serving the wine, & travel industries. Over the last decade, she has created a compelling body of work for corporate, advertising, editorial, and fine art clients around the globe.
Her photographs regularly appear in the top wine & spirits, food, and travel publications including Wine Spectator, Food and Wine, VIA, Northwest Palate, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, and the San Francisco Chronicle. Additionally, Andrea has photographed three books: Passion for Pinot (Ten Speed Press, 2008), Essential Wines and Wineries of the Pacific Northwest, (Workman Press, 2010), and Spectacular Wineries of Washington, (Panache, 2012 ).
Johnson is an adaptive and flexible location photographer. Her diverse experience includes photographing grizzly bears in Alaska, a month-long Himalayan trek to Mt. Everest, and extensive forays into wineries & food markets throughout Asia, Australia & New Zealand, the Middle East, Canada and North America. She was recently bestowed the prestigious Gold Award by the Society American Travel Writers for her work in Vietnam, judged by National Geographic editors and based on her storytelling ability in a photo essay.
She holds a bachelor of arts in communications with a concentration in film, art, and journalism from Northwestern University. In addition to her photography expertise, Johnson’s five years as a photography producer working at corporations such as Nike world headquarters and Oregon Outdoors Magazine lends professionalism and an ability to approach each project with a keen understanding of the client’s perspective.
